Retanou Gorée, our NGO
The NGO Retanou Gorée was founded in 2019 with the goal of improving the oral health of people in need. The organization operates in Palma de Mallorca—thanks to an agreement with Projecte Home—and on the Senegalese island of Gorée.
The NGO does not receive any government funding, and the entire project is carried out through the efforts and work of volunteers and donations from the public.
Gorée Project (Senegal)
In the spring of 2022, the Retanou Gorée team, consisting of 10 people, carried out health education, oral health care, and rugby promotion activities.
The group—composed of dental assistants, dentists, dental technicians, social workers, technicians, and trainers—spent a week working with the local community, treating more than 200 patients and providing lessons on oral hygiene and nutrition to about 160 children.
Our goal is to carry out this project on an ongoing, year-by-year basis to address the population’s poor oral health and focus on prevention among young people.
Projecte Home (Mallorca)
To that end, we have created the Projecte Endavant, whose main goal is to offer this group the opportunity to improve their oral health in terms of both aesthetics and function. At Q+P, we make all of the clinic’s material and human resources available to the NGO
